We’re excited to announce a major milestone in AIR’s journey: the successful closing of a $23 million Series A funding round, led by Entrée Capital.

This funding will power the next phase of our growth, enabling us to scale production, expand our U.S. operations, and fulfill a growing number of purchase orders across logistics, personal aviation, and many more use cases.

Supporting Real-World Operations

While many in the industry are still testing prototypes, AIR is already delivering aircraft. We made our first delivery to a logistics customer in late 2023, marking the start of commercial deployment of our uncrewed eVTOL platform. With 15 more units slated for delivery this year and more in the pipeline, this round allows us to continue building and delivering real aircraft to real customers.

Our cargo eVTOL was designed to meet the unique needs of remote delivery, disaster response, and contested logistics, offering a 550-pound payload, one hour flight time, and quick, intuitive ground handling. Meanwhile, the AIR ONE, our two-seater piloted eVTOL, is built for personal flight and is on track to become the first eVTOL aircraft certified for personal use under the newly updated FAA rules for Light Sport Aircraft.

FAA's MOSAIC Rule: A Clear Path Forward

This achievement is the result of years of close collaboration with the FAA, ASTM, and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Our sincere thanks go out to Matthew Smith, AIR’s Director of Airworthiness and Certification, and Shirry Knitel Manor, Program & Airworthiness Manager. Their leadership, persistence, and technical guidance were crucial. Their work helped ensure that aircraft like AIR ONE are included in the new certification standards.

A Unique Platform, Built to Scale

What sets AIR apart is our unified platform approach. Both the AIR ONE and our uncrewed cargo aircraft share the same design DNA, from airframe and systems architecture to our signature folding wings that allow the aircraft to be stored in a standard parking space.

This allows for cross-platform development, faster scalability, and simpler manufacturing. Operational flight data from one aircraft feeds into the certification and evolution of the other, allowing AIR to serve multiple domains while staying lean and focused.

Backed by Visionaries

“This funding solidifies AIR’s path forward and enables us to continue fulfilling the promise we made to our customers,” said Rani Plaut, CEO and Co-Founder of AIR. “We’ve proven that it’s possible to build serious flight hardware, generate meaningful revenue, and scale: all with lean operations. Entrée Capital’s backing gives us the tools to move even faster.”

“AIR is years ahead of its category,” added Avi Eyal, Managing Partner at Entrée Capital. “They’re already delivering real aircraft, with a team that’s managed to combine vision, engineering brilliance, and operational discipline. We’re proud to lead this round and support what’s next.”

What’s Next?

From operating BVLOS cargo flights at night to expanding our U.S. footprint and collaborating with the U.S. Air Force’s Agility Prime program, AIR is rapidly proving its value and relevance across domains.

With thousands of pre-orders, certified deliveries on the horizon, and a world-class team behind the controls, AIR is ready to help lead the next chapter of Advanced Air Mobility.

The future of flight is closer than you think. And it’s electric.
